Leena Sullivan
Proofreader
With a very eclectic background that includes “grammarphilia”, proofreading within the legal field, translating opera scores from several foreign languages as a professional singer and working as an Executive Assistant, Leena has always embraced the written word wholeheartedly, whether it be grading students’ papers and essays or working at Zondervan in the Bibles Division. Her work at Zondervan led to working as a proofreader on projects for The Busy Mom’s Bible and the Jimmy Carter Bible as a freelancer.
Her passion for the voice has also led to some narration and commercial work, and Leena has taught Private Voice in New York and in many of the universities of Michigan and continues to teach privately.
Leena is a Forest and Trees Person – she sees the big picture without losing track of the smaller details of that big picture. A voracious reader, she also paints, designs sweaters (and has been published by Vogue Knitting Magazine), designs interiors and exteriors, loves to cook and spend time in the beautiful outdoors of western and northern Michigan, especially in those fabulous summers!
