Lauren Schneider

Proofreader and Copyeditor of Fiction and Nonfiction

Lauren Schneider is a freelance proofreader and copyeditor with thirteen years’ work experience and a lifelong love of books and reading. With a bachelor’s degree in Technical and Professional Communication from Ferris State University, Lauren has a strong background in crafting the written word to convey a message fluently and precisely. She enjoys working on a diverse range of projects, including trade books, adult and juvenile fiction, children’s books, gift books, cookbooks, reference books, textbooks, Bible study guides, Sunday school curricula, and more.

     Bringing a sharp eye and meticulous attention to detail to all her freelance projects, Lauren strives to do excellent work that results in highly readable books that enrich readers’ lives. She appreciates being part of the Christian book publishing field because she believes Christian books contribute greatly to quality of life; they can encourage, challenge, comfort, refresh, and inspire. Books make a difference! Lauren resides in central Michigan with her husband and young daughter. She loves reading books with her ever-curious little girl, playing piano, laughing at her husband’s jokes and wordplays, and taking walks in the woods and fields near her home in the country.
