Kevin Harvey
Editor, Proofreader, Writer
In 2003, Kevin left the education field and entered the wonderful world of Christian publishing, having worked on almost 1,000 projects in his first 12 years. Though he did not know he would end up in this field when he graduated from Florida State University with an English degree, emphasizing creative writing and minoring in religion, he knows God was clearly ahead of him as always preparing him to be the best editor and writer he can be for the glory of God.
Kevin has worked with several publishing houses, including WaterBrook, Abingdon Press, LifeWay Ministries, and Worthy Publishing, but the majority of his work has come from the wonderful people at Thomas Nelson, having edited or proofread major projects in multiple divisions, from nonfiction, to fiction, to children’s, to Bible curriculum.
He has also had the opportunity to work as a ghostwriter and has authored two books himself: Jonah, John, and the Second Greatest (but Most Avoided) Commandment, which he self-published in 2010, and All You Want to Know about the Bible in Pop Culture, published by Harper Collins Christian Publishing in 2015.
When Kevin is not knee-deep in his latest book, he is either running, swimming, or biking, as he is preparing to take on his latest challenge—an Iron Man. You can find Kevin on Twitter at @GodFamilyNoles, and he writes regularly for BibleInPopCulture.com.
